Seedlings Kindertribe is a licensed, nature-based home preschool rooted in Waldorf Education.

We are located on a beautiful acre and a half piece of land in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are rooted in Waldorf education, and inspired by Scandinavian Forest Schools. We are a fully licensed large family home child care offering full-time and part-time care for children ages 2-6 years old.

Nature is something that is missing in traditional schooling today. We really wanted to carve out a space for children to spend the whole day outside, exploring the natural world. This is a place where they can run wild and free, listening to the birds sing as they get their hands dirty in the garden.

Our teaching philosophy is rooted in the warmth of Waldorf Education, and centered in the belief that in order to thrive, children need nature, imagination, and free play. We believe in guiding young children by being positive role models, showing kindness to all living creatures, and a deep love and appreciation for the Earth. Our curriculum is designed with the preschool-aged child in mind. We provide non-academic, educational, hands-on learning experiences.

This is a space intentionally designed to preserve every bit of childhood wonder and magic.

We, at Seedlings Kindertribe, would like to pay our respects to the original owners of this land, the indigenous peoples.

We say thank you for letting us share your land.

We promise to look after it, the animals, and the people, hand in hand.

We are a licensed full-time program! We are following the PSD school calendar and will be open until the end of May, with closures for all school holidays and breaks. We look forward to re-opening in August of 2024 for the Fall school year.

“All of nature begins to whisper its secrets to us through its sounds. Sounds that were previously incomprehensible to our soul now become the meaningful language of nature.”
